Interpretation

This verse explains that our physical body is made from material elements that exist in nature. Just like a machine, our body does things automatically, but we are often unaware of how much control we really have over it. When we eat, work, or even feel emotions, we think we are making these choices, but actually, many of our actions are determined by the way our body is built and the conditions around us.

Imagine your body like a smartphone. You can use it to call, text, or play games, but the phone itself is just a tool. It operates based on the programs installed in it and how it has been designed. Similarly, our body operates based on our previous desires and experiences, which shape how it works and reacts in different situations.

When we find ourselves in tough situations or feeling happy, it’s important to recognize that these feelings come from the body’s reactions and not necessarily from our true self, which is deeper and more permanent. This true self is often called the soul, and it exists beyond all the physical activities that the body does.

The verse reminds us that we are not just our bodies or our actions. If we can step back and see life from a broader perspective, we can understand that our true nature is unaffected by the ups and downs of life. It’s like watching a movie; even if the characters are facing challenges, the viewer knows that it’s just part of the story and not real life.

A person who understands this is called a true seer. They have the ability to separate themselves from the body and its actions, seeing themselves as something greater. This means they won’t get too attached to successes or failures because they recognize that they are different from the body and the experiences it goes through. Ultimately, the message encourages a viewpoint that helps us remain calm and steady, no matter what happens in life.
