Interpretation

This verse talks about how a person can achieve true peace by trusting in Krsna and understanding deep knowledge about life and the universe. To break it down simply, let's look at the key points:

1. **Faithful Individual**: When the verse mentions a "faithful man," it means someone who believes strongly in Krsna. This belief is not just a casual thought; it’s a deep trust that by following Krsna's teachings, one can reach the best state of life.

2. **Absorbed in Knowledge**: Being "absorbed in transcendental knowledge" means that this person spends their time thinking about and understanding spiritual knowledge rather than getting caught up in daily distractions. For example, they might focus on learning and practicing ideas related to love, kindness, and higher truths rather than just focusing on material success like money or possessions.

3. **Controlling the Senses**: The verse also emphasizes the importance of "subduing his senses." Our senses (like seeing, hearing, touching) can often lead us to chase after things that may not bring us true happiness. For instance, if someone overindulges in food, entertainment, or negativity, they might feel momentarily satisfied but eventually unsatisfied in the long run. A person who controls their senses makes conscious choices about what they engage with, seeking what will genuinely benefit them spiritually.

4. **Achieving Supreme Peace**: The ultimate result of having faith, understanding spiritual knowledge, and controlling one’s senses is "supreme spiritual peace." This peace is described as a deep feeling of contentment, happiness, and well-being that comes from within. It’s not dependent on external circumstances; rather, it’s a state of mind that you can have no matter what is happening around you.

5. **Quick Attainment**: The verse mentions that these results can come "without delay." This means that when someone truly commits to these practices of faith and self-control, they can start feeling the benefits almost immediately. It’s not a long wait; rather, it is about shifting one’s focus and practicing these principles daily.

In summary, this verse teaches us that by having faith in Krsna, dedicating ourselves to learning deeper truths about life, and controlling our desires and senses, we can quickly find true peace and happiness in our lives. It encourages us to practice devotion and discipline, showing that such efforts lead to a fulfilled and peaceful existence.
