Interpretation

In this verse, Krishna is telling Arjuna that those who understand the two different ways to leave this life (the 'two paths') will not feel confused or lost. Essentially, what Krishna is saying is that there are two main ways a person can go when they die: one leads them to eternal happiness, and the other means returning to the material world.

Now, Krishna advises Arjuna not to worry or be troubled about these paths. Instead, he emphasizes the importance of always being devoted to God, which in this case means being mindful of Krishna and living in a way that reflects that devotion.

When you focus on being devoted and engaged in serving Krishna, you are less likely to get stressed about how or when you will leave this world. Krishna wants Arjuna (and us) to know that worrying about the details of what happens after death isn't necessary for someone who is truly devoted. If you are dedicated and committed to serving, then you can feel secure about your journey after leaving this life.

Being 'yoga-yukta,' as mentioned in the verse, means being connected to spiritual practice or awareness. It’s about integrating your daily life with a sense of spirituality and devotion. If you make an effort to be aware of Krishna—through prayer, meditation, and good deeds—you will always feel grounded and supported.

Krishna shares wisdom here that urges us to focus on our relationship with Him rather than getting distracted by fears or uncertainties about death. Staying engaged with devotion leads to clear guidance and assurance in your spiritual journey.

Overall, what Krishna is asking Arjuna, and us as well, is to maintain a consistent practice of devotion in life. If we do this, we won't feel troubled about the paths available to us when we leave this world; we can trust that we are moving towards a positive outcome. By immersing ourselves in loving service to Krishna, we can navigate life with confidence and peace.
