Interpretation

In this verse, Lord Krishna is telling Arjuna about the power of remembering Him. He says that those who focus their minds on Him will surely find their way to Him. This is really important because it suggests that keeping God in our thoughts can lead us to a deeper connection with Him.

When Lord Krishna talks about meditation, He is referring to a way of thinking where you concentrate your mind on Him. A simple way to do this is by repeating a special chant, like the Hare Krishna mantra, which helps in keeping your mind focused on the divine.

Krishna explains that when you chant and listen to this sound, it engages your senses—you hear it with your ears, say it with your tongue, and think about it with your mind. This act of chanting can make you feel closer to God. It is meant to be a simple practice anybody can do, making it accessible for everyone, regardless of their background.

The verse dives into the idea of 'Purusam,' which translates to the Supreme Enjoyer. In our lives, we often think that we are the ones who enjoy life, pursuing various pleasures and satisfaction. However, Krishna reminds us that while we are part of His creation, He is the ultimate source of enjoyment. This means that everything we find joyful in this world ultimately comes from Him.

Many people confuse themselves with being the main enjoyers of life when, in reality, they are under the influence of material desires and distractions. By looking to Krishna as the supreme enjoyer, we acknowledge that He is the source of all happiness, love, and fulfillment.

So, in essence, this verse tells us that if we keep our thoughts centered on Krishna—whether through meditation, chanting, or just thinking about Him—we will not only feel enriched in our spiritual lives but will also find the ultimate destination of spiritual realization. This is a journey where the goal is to connect with the divine, and Krishna assures us that if we persist in this practice without getting sidetracked, we will undoubtedly reach Him.
